Ok, ladies, I did it! I went to an eye doctor yesterday and discussed my Lasik option. I am a candidate and would only need it done on one eye so it's like half price, LOL. I had them go ahead and schedule me for March 29th. The procedure takes about 15-20 minutes and he told me that in my case, minimal correction is needed so I should be able to get back on track by the next morning. Now, here comes the fun part... I'm scared of things like this. Ya'll know this. Yesterday, they put the drops in my eye to numb it so they can measure the cornea and it was so freaky. They also did the dilation thing so I couldn't really see well for 3 hours. Since then, my eye has been an itchy, watery mess. Luckily, they give you this cool hard plastic eye-patch to wear so you don't rub your eye. Come hell or high water, I'm going through with this. I want to be able to walk down the strip at night and not have the glare that these crappy glasses cause! Of course, they told me I may have halos in my vision for a few weeks so I'll probably have glare even without the crappy glasses, LOL. Don't exactly know how it will be in public without the glasses to hide behind, either. Hmmm, guess we'll see!!!
So excited!
